Exchange

Hawala.Today is a real-time P2P exchange that allows users to trade crypto for fiat currency, directly from each other without any intermediaries, hence no fees. It is built on the Ethereum blockchain, hence the only cost is for gas - in the shape of ETH.

The exchange is the core module. This is where the user interacts with everyone else on the network: to create contracts, track currencies, interact with the community, vote on polls as well as getting regular community updates. The potential of what the exchange can be is quite dependent on how the community wishes to evolve. Add-ons to the build can sometimes be based on community feedback.

The primary method of finding trades will be through the Discover mode. This will search for available trades near your location. Alternatively, users can trade directly with each other. The exchange will eventually grow to include buy-in support for ETH, then all ERC20 tokens and later BTC/LTC.

Staking (Wallet)

Staking is the driving mechanism of the Incentive for Stake model. The Hawala Wallet will allow staking of HAT tokens. The IFS model utilizes this and users get rewards based on how many HAT tokens they stake. Tokens being staked are not accessible for trading.

Past the initial supply, Hawala tokens will be minted in the form of rewards at fixed interest rates each year for a minimum of 10 years. These rewards will be distributed among wallets, proportionate to their staked amount. 

Cash Cards

Cash Cards are very much like prepaid mobile top-up cards. They will be available in various amounts and can be purchased with fiat currency. Once purchased, the user only needs to enter the code in the Hawala app and the predefined amount of fiat currency will be added to the Hawala Wallet. In just under a minute, users will have bought cryptocurrency with fiat money.

3. Trust Rating
After each transaction, users will be prompted to rate and review their interaction. This can be used to assess potential trades.
4. Token Staking
Staking in the Hawala Wallet is essential for the IFS model to produce more tokens. It rewards the holders based on the amount they stake.
